Preparing

Preparing for a test...

It has been a long time I finished my school and start working. But now I have to prepare to to sit for a test. It is a reasoning test which has 10 sections to test the proficiency in Maths and English. I have to be fast and accurate in answering the questions. My biggest challenge is English section because of the limitation in vocabulary and fail to identify the sentence errors in the paper. I think I need to memorise new words and improve my grammar. How can I do it in 1 and a half month? For Maths, I need to practice more on how to solve the Maths questions in the shortest time and memorise the maths equations.

Hope I can do well in the test.

Chinese New Year 2011 (Rabbit year)

Chinese New Year Eve:
Preparation to welcome the New Year. So excited! I woke up early in the morning to help my mother to prepare cooked food for praying. It is a tradition in our house. After praying, we had our reunion lunch together in our house. Once finished, we cleaned up and do the final touch up to our house like mopping the floor, cleaning the toilet and washing cars. There are four of us as, so each of us in charged of different duty. I liked the atmosphere which we played the Chinese new year song.
At night, my boy friend came and joined us for steamboat dinner. We ate till very full. After that,
we went 'ma zhu' temple for praying.

Chu 1(first day):
We woke up very early in the morning, dressed up and put on some make up on my face to get ready to visit my father's side relative. Before set off, we had photo section to take the whole family's picture. We traveled around 1 hour and reached our relative's house, we visited 2 uncles and an aunty. They are very friendly. Then I met my bf, he drove me to his house for dinner, it's Steamboat also.

The rest of the days, I was busy visiting and eating big feast! I hope the holidays never end. So, I don't need to come back to the real world.

Taking Train and Bus in Singapore

It has become part of my life to take train MRT and buses to travel to work, shopping and everywhere in this small island. I can't deny that the public transport is so convenient and efficient, it normally come on time. Furthermore, the cabins and seats in trains and buses are clean.
However, it's not as clean as what I see. Due to high population, the train is always full of people and some of them are sick,e.g. they got flu and cough but never wear a mask. Can you imagine you will spread the germs and virus in the train and bus? and those healthy people will get sick easily. As there are hardly space for them to move and stay away from this unhealthy people. So, I think those people should take the initiative to wear mask and put themselves in other's shoes.
Hope it's a better city for me to stay and work...

Rabbit Lunar Year

This is Monday morning, a new start off of working week. After finishing this week, I can go back my hometown to celebrate Chinese New Year. Recently, I have been thinking about the New Year wishes which is 'new' and can associate to the sound 'Tu' in Chinese pronunciation. I can either goggle it online and ask my friends. What to expect for this coming big day? Would it be like previous years? Visiting my father's side family on and mother's side family...gathering with old schoolmates. But i think the difference is I'm not an undergraduate already, I need to go back to work after a short break. So, this is a good opportunity for me to take a break!

Working life

I has been a long time I didn't write blog. Feel like starting off again to pour out my thought at least once a week or a month... hope i can keep this as a habit. My life has changed from a undergraduate to graduate to an employee now. I remember the reason why I signed up an account in e-blog was to do it as part of my assignment, but now it serves as a platform for me to start writing.

30 Days in September

After reading Mahesh Dattani’s brilliant play, “30 Days in September”, I wonder that are woman and child abused issues been highlighted in Malaysia? I think there are less people who care for the welfare of them. We hardly know where and who to seek for help? In our Eastern culture, it is very ashamed for you and your family to tell the truth of it and talk about child abused. Normally, it takes time just like the protagonist, Mala to reveal the truth. Besides that, it is very hard to recover form it. I think many of them will choose to be silent for a long time just like Shanta. I am going to be a teacher in the future, I hope that I would be able to help out the students who have child’s abused problem.
